Our Vision

The Voices for Women Sudbury Sexual Assault Centre is proactive in advocating social, political, and equal rights for women.  We counsel and support women, educate for change and work to create a safer community.

Our Mission

The Voices for Women Sudbury Sexual Assault Centre strives to build an equitable, safe and healthy community, envisioning seamless, accessible, inclusive services for women who have experienced sexual violence.

Our Philosophy

The Voices for Women Sudbury Sexual Assault Centre operates on principles of mutual respect and anti-oppression. We believe survivors of sexual violence are experts in their own healing. Together we work towards creating a thriving community, empowering survivors of all races, classes, ages, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities and spiritualties.

Our Code of Conduct

  • Respect the rights of others
  • Provide an environment that ensures and protects the right to personal dignity and privacy for every individual
  • Ensure the physical safety of each individual
  • Act in a professional manner that promotes teamwork, communication and accountability
  • Display accountability for one’s actions and decisions

What We Do

The Voices for Women Sudbury Sexual Assault Centre is a free community based service for women who have experienced sexual violence. We provide:

  • Individual Counselling
  • The Basics for Healing Workshops
  • Therapeutic Groups
  • Drop-in services/support
  • Safety Planning
  • Form / Documentation Completion
  • Accompaniment to Court
  • Public Education and Training
  • Community Outreach and Advocacy
  • Access to Resource Library
  • Use of a Computer
